At 1 minute past midnight Deputy Chief W. Conway became Chief W. Conway. Chief Conway
was voted into office at the December 2020 Year End All Hands Company meeting. Chief
Conway will continue to lead the department into the future. The following was his first
message to the members of the department:
“At 0001 hours on Jan 1 2021, I took over as the Chief of Nokesville Vol Fire and Rescue Dept.
This would never be possible without the support of my amazing wife, who also was my
inspiration to join the department. It would also not be possible without the trust of the
membership of the department for which I am both humbled by and grateful for. I want to thank
Chief Mike Silva for his leadership over the past five years.”
