This past week, the Apparatus Committee traveled to Ocala, Florida, for the final inspection of our two new twin fire trucks at the E-One factory. The final inspection is a long and tedious process to ensure the fire trucks are built to our specifications. Nokesville Volunteers, our primary mechanic, and a member of the Fire & Rescue Apparatus Committee spent many hours over four days going through hundreds of pages to check off every aspect of each fire truck. They inspected the engine, pump panel, lighting package, mounting accessories for tools, and much more. These fire trucks will replace two of our oldest fire trucks, placing one at each of our stations.
We are excited for the delivery of these new fire trucks!
