The Virginia Fire-EMS Recruitment and Retention Network held its July meeting virtually. The Network is made up of volunteer fire and rescue departments from all across the state of Virginia. This month the meeting focused on the growing need for volunteer firefighters across the state and a special presentation from IAFC (International Association of Fire Chiefs) on their support for growing the ranks of volunteer firefighters and growing volunteer fire departments in Virginia.
