June 5th, 2024 | During the last Company Meeting, Chief Schiro promoted Jake Thomas to Sergeant effective immediately. Sergeant Thomas not only volunteers many hours staffing units, but he is also the Building and Grounds Committee Chair. He spends countless hours ensuring our stations are operational 100% of the time. He spends time scheduling maintenance with vendors and meeting them at the station to confirm the repairs or upgrades. He also manages major projects such at the asphalt repair last year and the LED light upgrades at Station 25.
Congratulations to Sergeant Thomas on your promotion. The department thanks you for your hard work and continued dedication to the department both operationally and administratively.
