Fire Station 25 is Toy Central for Toys for Tots

With 2020 presenting some challenging times because of COVID-19, and with COVID-19 safety
protocols in place, it was decided for precautions that the 2020 Toys for Tots season that only
fire stations in PWC, City of Manassas, and Manassas Park would receive toys from the
communities.

So we wanted to take a moment, along with Chief Orefice, Lieutenant Kieb, and the USMC Toys
for Tots organization, to thank everyone for all your help, hard work, and commitment
because we were still able to collect and deliver approximately 11,540 toys to families in Prince
William County and the surrounding regions so that they could experience the joy of the
Christmas Holiday Season.

Also, this year it was decided to start a new tradition with the Quantico Toys for Tots Campaign
here in the county with the “Santa’s Biggest Helper’s” award. Every year, the fire station that
collects the most toys for that season, will get to keep the “Santa’s Biggest Helper’s” trophy at
their station with bragging rights until the following season. The station with the second-most
toys collected will receive a Toys for Tots painted sign to place in the front of their station each
season (unless the station already has one, then it goes to the next station with the most toys
collected.(see attached pics)

So with that, the 2020 Quantico Toys for Tots Campaign fire station that had collected the most
toys goes to Station 25 (Nokesville Vol Fire Dept.) with 1,980 toys collected! Fire Station 4
Gainesville was not too far behind with 1,660 toys collected (watch out next year, station 25!).
But since they already have a nice Toys for Tots sign to display, Fire Station 15, who came in
third place with 810 toys collected won the new Toys for Tots signage to display in the front of
their station for next season. And once again, thank you to everyone for all your help with this
wonderful, giving campaign during the Christmas and holiday season that we host here in the
County and have a Happy, Healthy, and Safe New Year!
